About me

The person across the room

Credentials matter — but so does knowing who you'll actually be talking to.

My story

Long before I trained, I volunteered with children with cerebral palsy in Beijing and cared for orphaned infants with special medical needs. Those summers taught me something no textbook has: how much it matters simply to be met with patience and warmth.

I went on to train in the UK and worked as a psychological wellbeing practitioner in NHS England services, delivering evidence-based support for anxiety and low mood. Alongside clinical work, I've been involved with Mind HK, trained in suicide prevention, and mentored young people building social-impact projects in Hong Kong.

What I've learned is simple to say and hard to do: things change when someone feels genuinely understood first, and challenged second. That order matters, and it shapes every session I hold.
